He easily relates with students from a variety of backgrounds and especially empathizes with students who discovered their calling a bit later in life. Evan now works in a neurosurgery research lab. Outside of tutoring, Evan spent time working as a medical scribe, volunteering as an interpreter for Spanish-speaking patients, and residing over the University of Kansas' Peer Health Education program. Evan particularly enjoys showing students how even the most intimidating MCAT questions can be broken down into simpler steps, and can therefore be much more straightforward than they seemed at first glance.
With a special emphasis on strategy and practice, Evan understands that the MCAT is a solvable puzzle in which students combine their scientific knowledge, logic, and critical-reading skills to demonstrate to medical school admissions committees their readiness to become physicians. For Evan, tutoring and teaching are fantastic ways to help promising students to reach their potentials. After Evan took the MCAT in March 2021, he swiftly joined the Blueprint team, and has been teaching and tutoring the MCAT ever since.
He began by tutoring students in genetics, organic chemistry, and biology. Evan began teaching and tutoring in 2020, while he was an undergraduate at the University of Kansas.
